Powers: Jinu has a soft magic powerset, so it's not very well-defined exactly what the extent of his powers are, but from what we can see... He's immortal and doesn't physically age (forever stuck in his 20s, though he can still be killed); teleportation; manifesting things out of thin air; super-speed and extreme sleight-of-hand (i.e. tying a bandana around someone's arm in the blink of an eye); ability to grow fangs and claws; levitation and high jumps; inhuman strength; shapeshifting; ability to steal souls; and his singing voice was gifted to him by a demon king, so it's technically supernaturally good.
Arrival Choice: Decline; he ain't doing all that, sorry
Soul Weirdness?: Yes; Jinu sold his soul to the demon king Gwi-Ma in exchange for a beautiful singing voice that would attract enough royal attention to get him off of the streets
How Do You Wanna Do This?: The movie shows us it IS possible for a person to get their soul back from Gwi-Ma, so... Idk I guess the researchers either stole it or made a deal with Gwi-Ma for Jinu's soul? Lmao. Anyway, since Jinu is not playing your little games and will gladly let that fuckass world of his get blown up to avoid mutilation, this implies Gwi-Ma also gets blown to smithereens, which is unfortunate, because Gwi-Ma is a GREAT threat to keep Jinu in line (Gwi-Ma is constantly whispering in his head about his absolute L move wrt what he did to his family). So! I would love if perhaps the researchers could artificially replicate this degradation in his head, as a way to make him believe somehow Gwi-Ma is still alive and very possibly able to snatch him back at any moment. This makes him much easier to control, and would be beneficial to them. Maybe fake Gwi-Ma could even say something about lending Jinu's soul to the research team? Pretend like the demon realm was not destroyed with the human world? I genuinely do not know, I'm honestly up for any sort of spin on this you wanna throw at me.
